high school students (2021-2022)
Hadijat Oke, 2020-2021
During her time at the Howard University Lab, Hadijat worked on analyzing the temperature and PM measurements during the breakdown of a nocturnal inversion that was measured using a low-cost tethersonde system on August 30th, 2020. She successfully developed a data analysis journal in Mathematica, began the process of building her own air pollution sensor, and participated in writing a journal article about her research. See the poster of her work here.
Hadijat is currently a student at the University of Maryland. She is studying computer science and is in the Advanced Cybersecurity Experience for Students (ACES) program. |
Monique Watson, 2020-2021
While interning at the Howard Lab, Monique learned how to code in Wolfram Mathematica and was able to analyze data provided by particulate matter sensors. Though the COVID-19 prevented her from working physically in the lab, she was able to work virtually and learn about Plantower PMS3003 and BAM1020 sensors. She reanalyzed previously acquired data and used her analysis to study the impact of a heated inlet on humidity and temperature. See the poster of her work here.
Monique is currently a student at Purdue University. She is studying electrical and environmental engineering while considering pursuing mechanical engineering. |
